Our guardrail systems provide both temporary and permanent roof edge protection without the need to mechanically fix though the roofing membrane or roof structure. Where regular access or maintenance is required, Wyre Roof Guard can install a modular edge protection system to meet your building requirements.
Our Roof Guard guardrail system is a non-penetrating system, designed to eliminate the potential hazard from rooftop falls. With simplicity in mind when developed, this rooftop guardrail system can be quickly and easily assembled and installed onto most rooftops. In order to ensure a quick and easy installation, Roof Guard is a modular design, allowing for a quick installation that requires no welding, drilling or bolting into the actual roof structure.
Because our guardrail system utilises a counter-weighted system, Roof Guard’s safety guard railings have no direct or permanent attachments to your rooftop. By having no direct attachment means this rooftop guardrail system requires no re-sealing, which will ensure that you have no unexpected leaks.
The material from which the guardrails are made, is primarily galvanised steel. This particular material helps to ensure that the system once installed requires very little maintenance due to the durable nature of the metal it is created from. The counterweight required to hold the free standing guardrail in place is made from a recycled rubber or PVC compound.
The versatility of this system sets it apart, for use on existing building or new build includes standard vertical, raked, radiused and folding applications. Freestanding edge protection does not require fixing into the roof due to it’s proven cantilevered system using recycled rubber or PVC weighted bases and can be used on almost all roof substrates with a pitch of up to 10 degrees.
This innovative free-standing edge protection system is designed to be non-penetrative, and so can be used on installations where drilling into the roof is not possible.
Fully conforming to EN 14122-3:2001, the Roof Guard can be used as either a permanent or a temporary guard rail, due to its ease of installation and uninstallation.
Whilst there is very little maintenance needed on the roof guard system, it is recommended that installed systems receive a test and re-certification of their compliance annually. The inspections may need to be conducted in a more frequent manner if the area in which the system is installed is exposed to a certain set of conditions, such as prolonged chemical exposure, or if the system is used with great frequency.
